Blokady mostów, zwane także blokadami dyferencjałów, to mechanizmy które pozwalają równomiernie rozłożyć moment obrotowy na oba koła danej osi. Dzięki temu eliminują problem poślizgu jednego koła i znacząco poprawiają trakcję pojazdu w terenie - na błocie, śniegu czy piasku.

Dla klasycznego off-roadu polecane są blokady załączane z blokowaniem 100% w wersji  elektrycznej lub pneumatycznej. Pozwalają one na zablokowanie dyferencjału w dowolnym momencie kiedy jest taka potrzeba  i rozłączenie jej kiedy jedziemy np po drogach utwardzonych. Umożliwiają przekazanie 100% mocy i momentu obrotowego na wszystkie koła pojazdu. 

Blokady LSD (Limited Slip Differential) działają automatycznie i częściowo ograniczają różnicę prędkości między kołami. Blokady 100% (elektryczne lub pneumatyczne) sztywno spinają oba koła na osi, dając maksymalną trakcję. LSD są lepsze do codziennej jazdy lub turystyki, a 100% - do ekstremalnego off-roadu.

Tak, większość blokad mostów (szczególnie LSD i elektryczne/pneumatyczne wyłączane z kabiny) jest legalna. Ważne, by były one używane odpowiedzialnie i zgodnie z przeznaczeniem wtedy kiedy jest taka potrzeba.

Blokady elektryczne aktywowane są z kabiny – za pomocą przycisku. Wystarczy podłączyć je do instalacji 12V. Blokady pneumatyczne wymagają kompresora i układu powietrznego, ale działają bardzo szybko i niezawodnie tak samo jak elektryczne.

Torsen to mechaniczna blokada oparta na przekładni ślimakowej, która automatycznie reaguje na różnicę momentu obrotowego między kołami. Łączy zalety blokady LSD i klasycznej – świetna do rajdów, sportu i dynamicznej jazdy.

Podczas normalnej jazdy – nie. Blokada działa tylko, gdy jest aktywowana, dlatego przy prawidłowym użytkowaniu nie wpływa negatywnie na zawieszenie czy przekładnie. Wręcz przeciwnie – zmniejsza ryzyko zakopania się i przeciążenia układu napędowego.
